Kusadasi

Monday 5th September

After an early night, David was up before 9 and I was ready to surface by about 9.30.

We wandered around Kusadasi. We had a few things in mind but ended up mainly buying a beach cover-up for me and some duty-free cigarettes for Jonathan. We had priced them on the ship and in supermarkets but by far the cheapest price was in the Kusadasi duty-free shop. We bought 600 cigarettes for £34.

After that we returned to the ship and spent some time at Café al Bacio. We sat on our balcony while I wrote up my diary but it was too hot so we had to go to the pool deck for a swim. We stayed there until it was time to get ready for dinner.

David ordered a Cosmopolitan from the Martini bar after dinner (on our Premium drinks package). One sip and I was hooked! I ended up finishing his drink while he had a standard G&T. I had to rush through it a bit in order to go to the show but thought I would like another one sometime.

Once again we struggled to find anything to do in the evening. David tried to watch the rest of his TV programme but the TV system was not working at all. It was another early night for David while I read for an hour.
